The Digital Publishing Innovation Summit, held today in San Francisco, was attended by the leaders of the publishing industry, as well as Fortune 500 brands. Speakers from Forbes, Dell, DowJones and more predicted that brand journalism will continue to dominate in 2014. When sponsored content is clearly labeled and of high caliber, it serves as an effective marketing tool for brands, an important new revenue stream for publishers and, ideally, an interesting read for the audience.
